This turning is titled Monsoon. When I created it, it rained regularly only when I worked on it. It has 1500 individual pieces. The woods used are Morado, Curly Maple, Black Limba, Wenge, Walnut, Gabon Ebony and Turquoise inlace. The thing that I think makes this turning the most unique is the fact that this was the 15th piece of wood I had ever put on a lathe. I studied Malcolm Tibbetts work and Ray Allen's work and decided to challenge myself to the extreme. It took me 6 months to make it but it was worth every minute. Please enjoy.

I've done some segmented turnings and know what you mean by a 6 month project. My turnings are around the 200 piece mark, so you inspire me to attempt more challenging projects. Nice job!
