Poplar staved box.  The box is constructed of staves made of poplar. The fennel is black wood. The dividers are of alowood of different colors the base is Santiago mahogany.  The box is 14 inches high by 7 inches in diameter; the wall thickness is 3/16th of an inch - CLICK TO ENLARGE

poles538 poles538 writes: That turn must have been really difficult. All of those parallel glue lines would make it ver difficult to maintane the integerty of the form.

it remindes me of stained glass
