Reliquary #1
comments (1) August 1st, 2009 in Reader's Gallery
The first in a proposed series of reliquaries, elaborate vessels designed to hold small precious objects. The top lifts off to reveal a smaller interior container, also with a lid, to hold a ring or other small item. Both the inner and outer vessels were turned from the same piece of coco bolo. The vessel is supported by brass pins. It's 15"Hx5"diameter.
