Cherry and Birch Dresser
comments (1) July 25th, 2009 in Reader's Gallery
This is a dresser I just completed for my new grand daughter. The Design was inspired by the blanket chest featured in Fine Wood Working Magazine issue # 203 (Jan/ Feb 2009) by Peter Turner. Unlike the blanket chest, it only tapers 3 degrees on the sides. I designed two hidden drawers above the top drawer for jewelery and other valuable girl treasures. The secret drawers are locked by removable magnetic handles. Adding a mirror was a first for me. The wood is Cherry and Figured Birch.
Design or Plan used: My own design
