If it is where they cross each other it is all in the initial layout. As for tools all I used is my antique hand drill,a small block plane, and some emery cloth. Oh yeah, and lots of elbow grease.

Thanks

I'm making a set of extra long chess pieces, which I'm carving out of a block, and I want the king and queen to twist around each other. After I draw/carve the profile, how to I go about carving the intersection? What tools did you use? If you bother to get back to me on this, I will greatly appreciative.

Thanks,

Fred
