Desk top is Asian Chestnut with bloodwood keys. Inspired by Nakashima's style. Base is Walnut with Ambrosia Maple stretcher and raised panel accents on sides. I hope the photos do the top's figure justice. I sit at the desk often and am hypnotized by its figure. All wood was from Dave Spacht's sawmill which was featured in Fine Woodworking several months ago as a great local sawmill, which it is! Finish is oil with a wipe on poly top coat. This was a project I look forward to my kids using some day.
