This was a swiveling bookcase to hold 24 volumes OED along with atlas for an English Professor.  The design was taken from the NY Public Library

Obviously the "book" aspect was just a good excuse to build a beautiful Plant stand or end table. Nothing wrong with that! Beautifully done.
