Knotty Alder Entertainment Center

This 19 foot wide by 9 foot tall Knotty Alder Entertainment Center was built with a break front to allow for the depth of the TV set. The section (three panels) in front of the TV is removable so the TV set can be accessed. The soffit was built to follow the crown after cabinet was installed to maintain a consistant 1 1/2" reveal. The shelves are wood frames that have been rabbeted to accept glass inserts. This was a fun project to do and looks as good today at the day it was installed.

DHaak DHaak writes: ohwoodeye, thank you for your comments. Yes, the back wall was painted, which really adds to the dramatic affect of the lighting, and how it becomes an accent to the items that are on display.

ohwoodeye ohwoodeye writes: Very nice. I especially like the idea of being able to see the reddish color behind the shelves instead of a wood backing. I'm assuming its the painted wall.
