Bookcase with Bow-front, Torsion box Shelves
comments (1) June 2nd, 2009 in Reader's Gallery
Cabinetry and uprights are 3/4 inch stained maple plywood with black walnut accents. Shelves are 1/4 inch stained maple plywood built as torsion boxes with walnut curved fronts. The shelves just slide onto 1 1/2 inch pine brackets which are secured to the walls and uprights. This took a year to make at my usual slow pace.
