Beech Cabinet On Stand
comments (3) August 29th, 2009 in Reader's Gallery
Ever since i've seen Krenov's cabients on stands i've always wanted to build one of my own. And here it is, the cabinet is made of Beech and the stand is made of Red Oak. The front has 2 hand coopered doors, while the sides are very slightly convex. The cabinet sides are also set in at an angle so the front most corners of the cabinet arent so...pronounced, the curves of the side are meant to flow into the curve of the doors. Making this cabinet was easy and very pleasurable, handplaning the curves and watching it become a cabinet. The cabinet was finished with a few coats of shellac followed by wax, while the stand was oiled.
total height:44"

width at front: 15 1/2"
Depth: 8 1/2"
