Nice n straight
Detail of the little pencil roll in the back and of the leg poking out from the top. Little details make the difference.

A sweet little table with simple lines. This table was made with shop-sawn ash veneer, and birch for the drawer. This is a "modern" post and panel construction, where instead of having a floating panel, the panels are actually a little over an inch thick, i did this by gluing up thicknesses of ply-wood. the reason behind this is that i still have my 1/8 reveal on the outside but the panels are flush with the legs on the inside, greatly simplifying the contruction, meaning i dont have to worry about gluing in runners and kickers. The panels were just simple doweled together.

Ash, Birch

Oil finish, wax

27"H, 18"W, 11 1/2"D

Jurgen01 Jurgen01 writes: This is an attractive and functional design that would look good in a variety of primary woods, in addition to ash -- even contrasting primary woods for the legs & the case/drawer would look great. A variety of joinery could be used effectively for this design, as well. Elegant simplicity. Very nice design and execution. Thanks!
