Recently finished mobile tool chest. Solid Rock Maple top and sides stiles with MDF Maple panels.

The design from Lee Valley was modified to suit my table saw and nomadic work environment.

As I get to share my work area with two cars, its important that its was multi functional and able to be stored compactly.

Thanks for the comments. Since looking at the other submissions I too have been inspired and will incorporate some ideas into this bench/chest.

The drawer slides are full extension soft closing type, which I found online here in Australia at the following web address

The top is only adjustable once you have located the saw by placing shims between the casters and the base.
The 4 casters are swivel type and lock on the wheel and swivel. The reason for 4 swivel caters is manoeuvrability.
Some other points worth commenting on are, the bench top is raised high enough above the tool chest to push the short round dogs through to enable retrieval.
Also the drawers are low enough to be opened when the bench/chest is stationed in the saw.
All the drawers’ heights have been sized to fit my hand tools. For example all my hand planes are in the bottom drawer and this is high enough for the planes to stand up and the depth of drawer is deep enough for my No. 7 and also a No. 8 if I had one.
Improvements would be fitting a vise to the opposite end of the tool tray and installing a drawer lock that would lock all drawers at once.
But at this stage it is solid enough to pound away at things all day.
