For a special child, I created this solid maple Toy Chest. Materials: Hard Maple, Figured Maple, Birdseye Maple; brass piano hinge; extra strong springs for safety. No lining as maple is finished inside natural; hand mixed maple stain applied with brush; final coats poly. Base made separately from Birdseye maple. Approximate dimensions 18" X 41" X 24". Very heavy. Shipped from South Carolina to Tucson AZ. Recipients very pleased with this Toy Chest, and the surprise image of a Duck in the grain earned it the name: Duck Box.
Design or Plan used: My own design
