Country Pine Painted Hutch
comments (0) May 10th, 2009 in Reader's Gallery
Copied from a store display unit that my wife liked. I asked if I could measure it up as I was
a New Yankee workshop apprentice. They agreed. Came across some good pine shelving that another retail store was dumping. Cut out all the screw holes and brackets and was able to salvage some really nice dry pine. Hutch is painted and stained. A dark green color. It's about 48" wide and 82" tall. Hutch sits on top of base and attached with two shelving bars for support. Shelves fixed with dadoos, and some pocket screws in face frame. Paneling back salvaged from a bookcase purchased from a yard sale. It had no shelves. She's happy so I'm happy.
