These stools are made from soft maple with through mortise and tenons with a hard maple wedge. these are a first attempt at any kind of furniture making for me. I have two of them because the legs are not square they are rectangular and when I put the taper on the legs I realized that I had made two sets of the front-left and back-right legs not thinking that the other two legs needed to be mirrored versions of the same design. oh well. build and learn, right!
