This is a chess table I designed. It is made using white oak, birds eye maple, chechan and wenge. There are drawers on both sides for the chess pieces. I turned the drawer pulls from chechan. I finished it with hand rubbed tung oil.

I am 100% self taught and never had a wood working class. I get my knowledge from reading Fine Wood Working ( of course) and others and watching shows like Wood Works with David Marks and just trial and error. I hope this piece is worthy of being a part of your gallery. I am about to complete my first grandfather clock that I will post soon.
