Made from old cedar deck lumber, glass from old doors, old corrugated metal roofing, and a couple of cedar posts.
The door was made from band sawed 4X4 cedar deck posts. Hinges found at antique fair.
This is a test fit of the corner joinery design. Due to the unusual compound cuts, all cuts were done by hand with back saws.
A view showing the joinery during construction. The muttins are applied over the glass as decorative elements only.
This is a view that shows the inside during construction. The 2X2 balisters from the deck were used to reinforce the corners due to the loosness of the joints. Caulk was used as chinking were the planks did not meet.

The project started as a place to store bird feeders and then grew to use as much of the left over deck materials as we could. We used four panels of glass from doors we replaced on the house just to get the panels out of the way.

My wife does most of the gardening. We live on 5.5 acres of Texas Hill Country with much native flora and fauna so we mainly try to keep the natural stuff under control while limiting our domestic gardening to containers near the house.

GEide GEide writes: Great shed! Do you have interior pictures and a close up of the corner "joinery"? What sort of gardening do you do? Can you fit much inside it? - Gina
