Cradle

The cradle is curly maple with a marine plywood bottom. Hand cut dove tails. Inside dimensions made to fit the standard 18x36 cradle pad commonly available. The animal scene was painted by my wife and it is the same on both sides. Finish is Waterlox sealer with a Waterlox clear polyurethane top coat to protect the painted scene and provide resistance to liquids. The base frame and pivot pins are purpleheart finished with Watco and a Good Stuff top coat followed by wax. The 'H' was carved following the instructions by T. J. Mcdermott in FWW#187.

We have a grandchild coming in June. I may borrow some of your ideas, if that is OK.
