My dad and I made 19 cherry shaker boxes ranging in size from 000 to 20. We used John Wilson's patterns.

I am planning on going up to John Wilson's this fall (I am keeping my fingers crossed). I am a Shaker basket maker so bend my own wood for handles and rims, so know I would love making the boxes as well.

Keep up the great work!

ShakerBabe ShakerBabe writes: My Dad, Mom, and two sister-in-laws took John Wilson's shaker box class in Charlotte, Michigan in 2002. We loved making the boxes. Ever since we have gathered at my mom and dad's house each March to try to make some different boxes. My dad is good at making jigs. One year we made small ones. This year was 14-20. The box makers were my 3 neices, sister, 2 sister-in-laws, mom and dad this year.
