Two tiered bar hieght cherry counter top on the island with nautical themed support system. Installed to allow movement (elongated screw pathways). Finished in marine varnish, my preference for counter tops.

Support system detail.
Pull-out shelves with a 3-D swept pull.
Swept pull detail. Half-blind dovetails are hand-cut, the lip is added after assembly.
The vanity drawers (same project) were done slightly different. The square cherry pegs were added to the rabbeted corners for strength with the added bonus result...a pleasing esthetic.

Hi All. I wanted to post some of the features that I included in a recent oceanside kitchen project.

I generally avoid kitchens, but will agree to do so for the right customer. My habit is to incorperate a few details that will make each project unique from the last.....

All the best, Ken
