Video Length: 8:31
Produced by: International Wood Culture Society

The Pilatova family is reviving the Slovakian craft of puppetmaking and marionette theater, writing and performing shows for guests young and old. The carving and painting process is beautiful.

This is just one of 100 elegantly produced videos from the Wood Culture Tour, a production of the joint Chinese and American International Wood Culture Society. I love this series. It makes me realize that wood is an integral part of almost every culture around the world, and that we fine woodworkers are not alone in our love for this organic, beautiful, and renewable material, one of nature's greatest marvels.
