In this project I made a number of similar boxes, 12 in all, each of a different wood or wood combination, in order to become more familiar with different woods, approaches to boxes, etc.  Each box has a different configuration of wood, knobs, feet, trays and liners, etc. A few of them are shown here.  I learned a great deal from making the same basic project in different ways.

Joe Blade Joe Blade writes: Nicely done, Neobassman. Did you glue up the boxes with the tops and bottoms in place before sawing them apart? What are the sizes of your boxes? For me the most difficult step in making boxes is mortising tiny hinges into 1/2" stock. Joe
