Tommy MacDonald, host of the Rough Cut woodworking show on public TV stations, has put together a great video about trees. It covers the whole lifecycle of wood, from what makes a healthy forest, to the logging process, drying, woodworking, and an endless array of products that come from trees, from ice cream to nail polish, all in a quick, fun, informative production.

Of course, share this with all the kids you know, but I'm not ashamed to admit I know more about woodworking than I do forestry and logging, so I learned a lot, too. If nothing else, it's cool to watch those giant logging machines at work.
