I will explain the facts that had taken place in the making of my chair, my inspiration of the making of this chair was a chair that I saw at a family home. I took photos of the chair and therefore studied them later and made an exact copy of it. I will explain the background of my woodworking adventure as well as the wood I used. I will also show pictures of me making the chair as well as the final product.

I started woodworking seven years ago, my first skill of the art woodworking was wood turning, I took one lesson which was only two hours I then adopted the skill after many practices. I therefore made lots of other projects which class level was similar to that of this chair. My latest project is this chair. My next project is a round four seated dining table and four chairs to go with it.

I used the wood known as American Walnut, and cane backing for the seat and backrest. I used a Satin Clear for the finishing. The carving of this chair was produced by a street carver. I learnt The Barley Twist from a DVD which I got from America. It took me a month to make this chair.
