One thing about old houses is a lack of closets so a friend asked for a large amoire.  The African Mahogany case is accented with Makore veneered door and side panels. The upper unit also holds three dovetailed maple drawers fronted with AM. The base unit houses a single large drawer with a double drawer, false front to provide symmetry with the upper doors.

The Mahogany was first oiled with a red oak stain followed with an overcoat of brown mahogany gel stain...the Makore was left natural, and the entire piece finished with three coats of poly.  The 85" x 49" x 27" size is about all this one-man shop can handle.
