Phone table

The chair is hinged to the third leg of the table.
This is the chair in the closed position. The stem on these flowers stand proud to add texture to the flowers.
I was able to find some figured walnut that I re-sawed, bookmatched two of the three pieces, and slip matched the third piece to make the field of the table top. The flowers and stem are flat on the table so that writing is not hindered.
The drawer has three hidden areas. (just to keep the grandkids talking)

I saw a phone table at an older home and decided to put my own spin on it. I steam bent the chair rails, added a cloud lift, added a drawer (with three hidden areas) and added some marquetry. The flowers are holly and the stems of flowers are cherry.
