Flag Case

I'm a 16 year old woodworker in Pittsburgh, and I built this flag case after hearing about the Freedom Flag Cases Project on the Fine Woodworking Website. I got the dimensions from the provided plan, but beyond that this is my own design. I built it out of walnut, with a little sapwood on the back edge. The plywood back is oak. The corners are joined with 45* miters, and to add a distinctive feature I bevelled back the face edges of the project with a handplane. The finish is orange shellac and paste wax.
