Final installation.  A riser was built out of scrap pieces and added into the tv opening to raise the TV so it had better visibility in the large living room. It also hid wiring and made room for a sound bar.

This entertainment center was constructed using biscuit joinery.  It was built in nine sections (2 upper side cabinets, 2 lower side cabinets, base, crown, lower middle cabinet, upper middle cabinet, and back panel).  I finished the cherry with boiled linseed oil and a flat polyurethane.
