Trustee's desk, I believe Mt. Lebanon. It is mainly of Idaho white pine, the only modification is the turned legs, original had tapered legs. Top is 7/8" thick, Southern yellow pine as well as front panels. The slant top is for writing and some were covered in leather. There are two side drawers, one on each side that are half the width of desk with dovetailed fronts and backs. Bottoms are 1/2" pine beveled to fit into 1/4" dado. Interior color of "cubby hole" is mustard milk paint. Finish is multiple coats of shellac. Desk is 36" wide x 22" deep x 48" high
Chair is a copy of the style made in the New Hampshire Shaker communities, with graduated height of back slats, which are mortised into back legs. Made to fit under desk, low seat of 14".
Design or Plan used: Meaders book ? on desk
