This is a photo of a Wooten desk that I made using some of the dimensions that was in a Fine Woodworking issue back in the early 1990s, the project took 550 hrs to complete over a period of three years.
This is the front of the desk, I used recycled materials to bring the desk to fruition, the panels inserted in the front of the doors are that of maple leafs. The desk is composed of , walnut, spalted maple, sycamore, oak, poplar woods

Back in the 1990's I received an issue of Fine Woodworking which had a wooten desk on the cover and details of it inside the magazine, at that time I was inspired to build one. Although I did not begin the desk until Dec 2010 it was completed this past month. I am not a proffesional woodworker but just enjoy being in my shop and make things for others , usually at not cost to them.
