Paolini #74 Stickley Book Rack - Knock Down Version

Paolini's new video series on his variation on the #74 promises to be a great one. I've made a couple of these from his FWW May/April 2008 article.

On this one, I used stub tenons and connector bolts/barrel nuts (plugged) for portability. Close to Paolini's original plan - this is 29"H, and 12" between canted shelves (centers - the bolts), and 7" from the center of the second shelf to the lower flat shelf.

I will be making a new template for the next one. As you can see from the photo, I found the distance between shelves was not enough to fit in many of our books on the lower shelf. I will likely open up the shelf spacing to at least 15". Plus add a couple inches to the top - as our oversize books on the top shelf overwhelm it. So rather than 29"H, my next one will be a minimum 36"H.
