Aluminum Coffee Table

The shape of the table top was suggested by the process of cell division.  The two aluminum sheets and the 1" baltic birch core were cut at a local CNC shop.  The black walnut edge-banding was bent laminated onto the core between the holly squares.  Each coopered base is constructed of twenty-four walnut staves.
