This Shaker Rocker is made of maple with three coats of
amber shellac. The seat is 20" wide at the front and 14" wide at the back. The herringbone design is navy blue and white. The finials at the top of the back are 40" from the floor.

I'm planing to make turning blanks for a shaker rocker.
I'm using Ash and plan on gluing up to pcs (2'square)
on the flat to give me enough for a turning. I once did the same thing with 5 pcs glued together and almost lost my head when it came apart on the lath doing a million mph. I was lucky.
I'm kind of gun shy now and wonder if any one thinks this two pc is a bad idea.
Thanks
