Barn stair with continuous hand rail
comments (0) March 16th, 2013 in Reader's Gallery
This stair is an 'S' shape with two landings that have winders in them. This is mostly a timberframe project with mortise and tenon joinery. The material is doug fir with the hand rail built from alder. I used the tangent system to figure the cuts for the hand rail so the was no bending or gluing up from strips to make the turns.
