Lockable Box
comments (0) February 21st, 2013 in Reader's Gallery
This is a lock box as requested by my grandson, to "keep his sister out of his stuff". Well the design took off and this is the result. I an a retired design engineer so I just could not stop. I put myself in a deep hole, but it worked out in the end. The inside and outside of top center is birdseye maple on both sides. The curly birch was very difficult to work with, I was down to hand scraping and or sanding all surfaces as it is tearout prone.
