Nakashima inspired free form coffee tables
comments (3) January 3rd, 2013 in Reader's Gallery
These coffee tables were made from crotch sawn pieces of a locally harvest walnut tree. They were begging to be used in some free form piece. The size varies but both are approximately 43"(L)x20"(w)x14 1/2"(h).
The tops are joined to the slab legs by sliding dovetails and a dowel. There is also a 4"x3/4" rail between them.
The finish is Watco wipe on poly.
