BENT WOOD BOX
comments (1) December 25th, 2012 in Reader's Gallery
This box is my interpretion of the TINA BOX which was my main inspiration .
Some other styles are incorperated in this box and one of the unusual features are the lid which serves as a tray also.
The bent components are steamed in the micro wave and then bent on a jig ,all the components are bent on a single form in the jig .
The woods are maple and walnut and the maple has been textured with a ball mill on a small router .
The finish is wipe on poly and the interior is lined with velvet.
