Time lapse sequence of turning a toy top
comments (0) December 19th, 2012 in blogs, videos
Video Length: 0:9
Produced by: Joe Larese
Woodturner Joe Larese rigged a still digital camera to photograph from an overhead view as he turned a spinning top. By combining the still photographs as a sequence in a video editing program, he produced a 9 second time lapse movie of the entire process. To learn how to turn this top, be sure to catch Joe's recent post titled Tips for Tops.
![]() Larese used a brown marker to add a touch of color to the top as it spun on the lathe. It gives the look of a contrasting wood and takes mere seconds to apply. And by second"s" we mean: one. |
