Cookbook Stand Recycled White Oak
comments (0) November 22nd, 2012 in Reader's Gallery
A simple design made of recycled oak flooring. The frame boards were resawn and finished to 3/8" thickness, while the base was planed to 5/8". The slot for the frame was cut with a dado blade set to about 10 degrees, and the book support slot was the size of my table saw combo blade kerf. The edges were eased with a block plane. Finished with Diamond Varethane. A great Christmas gift!
