We have a hardwood floor refinishing and installation company in Vancouver BC. We have designed our shop in a fashion that will allow us to organize and easily inventory tools and supplies, build custom stair treads, make sample boards, and maintain all our tools. One conclusion we have come to is that you absolutely need to create a little compartment for every tool and supply that will only accomadate what it is designed for. If standard sized shelves are designed the guys, after a long day, will just stuff things into whatever shelve looks kind of empty. Next thing you know your shop is disaster zone.

My work table often pulls double- and triple-duty for tons of shop tasks. I'm struggling to make my guys to do something like that in their van, no luck yet.
Quick question thou, are you allowed to store poly in your space just like that? We had hard time to get permission to store chemicals. Hate this bureaucrats...
