It isn’t easy to come up with a new treatment for door panels, but these twisted slats are proof that not everything has already been done. Instead of solid door panels in this brown oak and valley oak credenza (16-in. deep by 49-1/2-in. wide by 29-in. tall), Trosdahl used individual slats that she steamed and twisted. The negative space created by those slats inspired the shape of the door and drawer pulls. The top is finished with Liberon Finishing Oil, and the rest of the case with shellac.
