Woodworker: Gregg Roth

Gregg Roth and his father harvested the lumber he used for this cherry and red oak jewelry box project from land that they own. He milled and dried it and built the case as a Christmas present for his wife. Walnut and maple were used for the inlay on the interior of the case. The case has nine center drawers and two pullout slides on the sides for necklaces. Roth finished the piece with linseed oil, shellac, and wax. From Fine Woodworking #200 Photos: Gregg Roth
