The doors were made of a piece of claro walnut from the tree's grafts site, resawn to 1/8" and then vacuum veneered to a solid walnut core. The curved side supports are black walnut with a mild curl figure. The drawer fronts are leopardwood, and the drawers and case sides are all hand dovetailed. The door and drawer pulls are made from a piece of Brazilian rosewood that I bought in New Orleans in about 1973. The design is my own, and takes inspiration from Asian architectural elements. All of the drawers are cushioned, and lined with synthetic suede. The chest is about 18"H x 12"W x 9"D
