Iris Cabinet
comments (0) October 24th, 2012 in Reader's Gallery
This early work by Len Dougherty sports an Asian flair that he moved away from in finding his own personal style as an artist. The fully veneered cabinet also highlights an initial attempt at marquetry after learning from the master, Silas Kopf. Since crafting this cabinet, Dougherty said he's learned new shading techniques to add more dimension to his flowers.
