Moon Desk
comments (0) October 24th, 2012 in Reader's Gallery
Designed for a show of practical furniture at a Boston gallery, this piece is telephone/memo desk. Cullen's wife, Barbara, an artist and art therapist, created the moon medallions that decorate the stretchers. She carved them from Fimo, a soft polymer clay that hardens when baked. The clay she chose glows in the dark, making the table easier to locate without a light.
