Front view of Karen's Box
This is a box within a box. After the front drops down the interior portion may be removed to access the bottom tray. Lots of storage. The box was inspired by a photo I had seen of a Japanese fishing tackle box which, although simple, had some design features I thought would work in a jewelry box.
The walnut is from Karin's grandfather-in-law's farm. The pecan lid panel is from my daughter's home: the tree came down in Hurricane Isabel.
