This book contains 13 projects from the 2nd season of the hit TV show, Rough Cut – Woodworking with Tommy Mac. The projects include a bookcase, drop-leaf table, pie-crust table, kitchen cart and more, and are laid out with illustrations and step-by-step photos. I think this book would be a great addition to my collection of woodworking books. What I like most about Tommy's "Rough Cut" show is that he builds quality projects while giving understandable step-by-step instruction. In addition to stressing good joinery and craftsmanship, Tommy's projects inspire me to try techniques that I don't normally use in my usual projects.
Since I first discovered "Rough Cut" on TV, it has been moved to different channels and time slots, thus making it hard to find. If I could win this book, I wouldn't feel so bad about missing the episodes on TV.

Love the show, I'll probably love the book if I get it for free :-)
Tommy, keep up the great work!!!
I could use this, sign me up.
I'll definitely post my commentary if I win.
Saw Tommy at Woodcraft in Madison, WI recently. Would love to win this book.
I like the road trips, it makes things more interesting, such as the eoisode broadcast in Oklahoma City on Sunday the 25th. The road trip was to explore where bamboo for construction was grown. the cabinet built in htis episode was very nice. The book would be a welcome additon to my library.
That would be a great prize.
The more useless reality stuff I see popping up on TV, the more I appreciate the show. I've used quite a few of Tommy's tips, wish there were more shows like this on. Thanks for the opportunity and keep up the good work.
Would love the opportunity to own this great book. Thank you!
Tommy mac is my favorite guy to watch-woodworking on TV.
You have the Work-Shop from the Heavens, Tommy!
I try to not miss your show and have watched it many times in my shop.
Tommy explains everything he is doing so it is not hard at all to follow along...I take notes on his tips all the time, VERY "save-able" TV material, ha.
Love Rough-Cut WoodWorking with Tommy Mac!
I would love to win and read your book, and if I don't win...Christmas is near, so...
Well maybe Ill get lucky.
DVR the show and save all episodes.m Love the tips and skill demonstrations. Not so wild about the road trips.
I really enjoy the show and looks like the book will be as informative. good choice of projects.
I just recently became interested in woodworking. I have an 11 month old little boy and I'd like to have a useful and fun hobby I can pass down to him when he gets older. Something we can work on and enjoy together and hopefully in doing so he will pickup a valuable life skill.
I can't watch the show so I'd like to this book. Maybe the show will be online sometime soon?
I'm just starting with woodworking and think this book could hold the ideas I need to be more creative. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
Would love to win this book!
I like the show also, but I wish the "Road Trips" were a little longer with a little bit more detail.
Great show Looking forward to anotherfine book offeringfrom Woodworking Magazine
Love Tommy but our PBS doesn't air if this year:( would love the book.
When they announced 'New Yankee Workshop' was going off the air, I thought that was the end of good woodworking shows. Tommy's style isn't Norm's, but his dedication and love of woodworking makes his show great. This book would make things easy-peasy!
Wish I could see Rough Cut on TV but our two neighbouring across-the-border PBS stations don't carry the program. This book would partly correct the situation ...in part.
We love his show but we have to view it on the Create channel. For some odd reason, our local PBS station only has Create from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM which meant staying up until 11:00 PM. We finally learned to program the DVD recorder so we'll be ready when (and if) it returns to Create. Our local PBS regular channel doesn't seem to like woodworking shows. Thank goodness Fine Woodworking has short videos we can watch.
I can no longer get the show here on Oregon Public Broadcasting; maybe we don't matter out here to PBS any more than we do in the Presidential Election! Oh well, I'll just eat some granola and smoke some home-grown.
We do not access to Tommy Mac's PBS show but would very much appreciate the opportunity, through his book to benefit from his knowledge.
Count me in!!! I love the show....but for some reason our local pbs doesn't show it anymore.
I want this book an all his DVDs too!
Im gonna get this book one way or anotheer.
Great Show! :)
I haven't been able to find Rough Cut on PBS in SoCal, so it would be fantastic to have a hard copy...
I met him at the Woodcraft store in Detroit and he showed his way of cutting dovetail joints, how to sharpen a cabinet scraper, and a couple of other things. I tape his show whenever it comes on and he makes some cool furniture. I would like to win this book.
Thank you FWW and Tommy Mac!
Great show! I'm sure the book would compliment it just right!
Would love to have this book since I'm not able to find any listings of the show on my Direct TV search. Google search didn't help much either. Where can I view this show?
I am a new woodworker; I am waiting to receive 3 other books on techniques I order from you two weeks ago and would love to add a book on projects to build to the mix. So PICK ME! :)

In this video Michael starts work on the second box, a carved and painted Saddle lid box.
Michael begins carving the saddle lid box with his ripple pattern along the top. Then turns to his 5/30 gouge to texture the sides of the box. This isn't work…
