Getting four consistently even tapered legs for the same table can be a bit tricky. Of course, there are plenty of different ways to taper a table leg, but contributing editor Michael Fortune’s ingenious jig does double-duty. It not only serves to aid in tapering the leg at the bandsaw, but it doubles as a planer jig. The jig produces consistent cuts for each leg and makes cutting a heck of a lot safer.
