World’s Smallest Cordless Drill
While more power and size can be beneficial with some woodworking power tools, those aren’t two qualities I look for in a cordless drill for the woodshop. Lighter drills can be easier to work with, especially when you have delicate holes to drill, small brass screws to drive, or tight corners to reach into.
if you were expecting one of the big manufacturers would solve the size dilemma when it comes to cordless drills, you were wrong. It’s been done by a fellow who goes by the screenname S8, and he posted a video of his micro power drill to his Flickr photo stream.
There’s not much writen about how it works, just a few photos and this comment from the maker: “it works just as a normal drill – you press a button and the drill bit spins. The motor is a ‘pager motor’ without the vibrating weight, then a button and a battery.”
This one’s a little too small for my taste but they’re on the right track.

Good Gracious Gandalf, someone is making power tools for us wee hobbits.
Does it take metric bits?
is he going to make a holster for this too
It's too small to hold the required warning labels. I bet the charger base is still the size of a brick.
