Hot rods aren’t just for the race track or the dragstrip. This video gives you a formula for customizing varnish with tung oil, Japan drier, and turpentine. It has a lot to recommend it as a finish: It mixes easily, dries quickly, wipes on with no streaks or lap marks, and resists water very well.
